St. David's Presbyterian Chapel was the impressive venue for a flower festival and concert which raised in excess of £4,000 for Shalom House, St. David's - Pembrokeshire's first palliative respite care/day care centre which opened in November. The flower festival attracted hundreds of locals and visitors. Greeted in the entrance by an impressive towering floral display, they were taken on a tour of Pembrokeshire's castles, coastline, and countryside with some wonderful and innovative creations. They were the work of Freda Griffiths, of Lamphey, Adrian, and a team of talented flower arrangers from Shalom fund-raising groups around the county. Members of the South Pembrokeshire flower arranging club from St. Patrick's Church, Pennar, Pembroke Dock, visited the festival. They were Maureen Rogers, Joyce Griffiths, Pam Jones, Ann Gilbert, Margaret Griffiths, Rhona Lee, and Joy Collins.
