Over 1,000 people are thought to have attended the Monkton Priory Church Flower Festival held during the last week of July. The festival was supported by the Communities First Trust Fund and received a £420 grant which helped fund a marquee, advertising leaflets and posters. Thanks were expressed to Mrs. Barbara Ambrose, who was involved in the planning of the event. Mrs. Ambrose (second from right) is pictured with the Rector, Rev.
