Five local youths have been arrested in Narberth after a number of hanging baskets and flower displays were stolen from premises in the town's High Street at the weekend.
As a result of inquiries, the teenagers - two girls and three boys - were arrested and reported in connection with the incident which occurred overnight on Friday.
"The property was recovered and returned to the owners," a police spokesman revealed.
The youths, who were aged 15 and 16, gave an undertaking to compensate the owners for the damage caused to their flower displays.
"They also volunteered to weed around the swimming pool and this was done on Sunday afternoon," the spokesman continued.
"We would like to urge all people who have such flower displays on their premises to ensure they are secure, i.e. wired or bolted in place, to prevent them being removed, as such items can become crime generators," the spokesman added.
