Tenby's all-weather lifeboat was launched shortly after 7.30 pm on Friday after a member of the public saw a light that seemed to be flashing on Monkstone Point.

The lifeboat arrived on scene and deployed the Y boat to get closer to the rocks and search, but nothing was found.

As the lifeboat was about to leave the area, they spotted a light moving up the path to the top of the cliff at Monkstone Beach.

The coastguard then found a person arriving at the top and he confirmed he was fishing on Monkstone Point and had a light. All units returned to station.
