Two lifeboats were launched after a fishing boat broke its moorings at Lydstep Haven.

The 24-foot vessel, 'Storm Child' broke loose and drifted ashore last Thursday evening.

Tenby lifeboat, the RFA Sir Galahad and the town's inshore lifeboat crew, together with the local coastguard crew, were dispatched to the incident which occurred at approximately 5.30 pm.

There was nobody on board when the vessel struck a rock causing it to be holed by the bow. As a result it then flooded.

Members of the coastguard team spoke with the owner and skipper of the boat, and as no life was at risk, the emergency rescue crews left him to secure the boat, which was resting on the beach, and make arrangements for it to be repaired.
