Angle RNLI lifeboat and pilot cutter Skomer responded to a mayday call on channel 16 from the fishing vessel Vidar (B462) reporting a man overboard four nautical miles south of St. Annes Head shortly before 4 pm on Monday.

The vessel recovered the casualty and was escorted into the Milford Haven Waterway where the 45-year-old Belgian fisherman was winched off by RAF Rescue Helicopter 169 and flown to Withybush Hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead.
