Celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall will be making waves this June when he shows off his cooking skills in Pembrokeshire. The star of top TV food programme River Cottage is one of the highlights of this year's Pembrokeshire Fish Week. Along with his River Cottage co-chef, Gill Meller, Hugh will prepare a fishy feast at two sittings in the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven, on Wednesday, June 29. The chef will share his thoughts on food and fishing and encourage audience participation as he demonstrates recipes from his award-winning River Cottage books. Held every year, Pembrokeshire Fish Week celebrates the abundance of fish and seafood around the county's scenic coastline. This year's week-long celebration - the sixth - is packed full of family-friendly activities including cookery demonstrations, fishing competitions, island boat trips and much more. Food-lovers can enjoy a fishcake trail, sushi tastings and chowder nights as well as lots of opportunities to sample fresh local produce at fish and shellfish cookery demonstrations. As well as Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, top Welsh chef and cookery writer Angela Gray will also be taking part. If you want to get out and about, there are island and coastal rambles, sea angling trips, nature watches, a seashore safari, a seabird spectacular evening boat trip, and fishing trips along the Milford Haven Waterway There's also plenty on offer for keen and amateur anglers, from Learn-to-Fish Days to open sea angling and fishing competitions. • Pembrokeshire Fish Week 2005 takes place between June 25 and July 3 and is organised by Pembrokeshire County Council.
