The dates for next year's fourth Pembrokeshire Fish Week have been arranged.

The popular festival, which celebrates seafood, fish and fishing throughout the county, will run from Saturday, June 28, to Sunday, July 6.

Last year, well over 100 hotels, pubs, cafes and restaurants participated in the festival along with local fish retailers and wholesalers.

Said Kate Morgan, Pembrokeshire County Council's food officer who organises the event: "Fish Week 2003 promises to be more popular than ever.

"The reputation of Fish Week has spread far outside Pembrokeshire since we held the first one in the year 2000. It is a festival the whole family can enjoy."

New events being planned for next year's event include a fish master class with a celebrity chef at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven; snorkel safaris and story-telling evenings.

For the sportsman there will be both sea and freshwater angling opportunities and competitions for all, from the novice to the professional - including for women and children.

The more culturally minded are catered for with live music, art and song evenings celebrating the sea and its bounty.

• Fish Week is organised by Pembrokeshire County Council and is a True Taste Festival supported by the Welsh Development Agency and European Structural Funds.
