Working together to develop the very popular Fish Week Day in Tenby are Tenby Events and Pembrokeshire County Council's Fish Week. This year, they are holding a workshop for children and families living in the area, fun and practical 'Fish Happenings'. They also hope that anybody participating in the workshops will then join in a procession along High Street, through Tudor Square to the harbour on Sunday, June 24, at 1 pm. Fishy craft-making workshops allow the children to use their imagination and show off their hidden creative talents. With the support of Gwen Head from Carew Crafty Kids, parents and friends, the children will have the opportunity to make some amazingly colourful and individual fish sculptures which will then be attached to a giant wave for the procession on Sunday. In last year's workshops, some children had learnt to sew and design outfits for the first time. Joining in the Sunday procession will be the Mayor of Tenby who will lead the procession. Cath Graham, of Tenby Events, explained: "The procession will be very entertaining. There will be lots of children parading with their uniquely created designs from the sea. We will have music from local bands. It will be a lovely site for all the family and visitors in Tenby that day. " The Fishy Happenings workshops have received funding from Objective 1 ERDF and Pembrokeshire County Council's Fish week. The workshop is on Saturday, June 23, 10 am - 12 noon, while the procession is on Sunday, June 24, at 1 pm.
