Tickets are now on sale for Pembrokeshire Fish Week's annual celebrity chef fish and shellfish masterclass. One of Britain's most exciting young chefs, Chris Tanner (pictured), will be preparing and demonstrating inspirational recipe ideas with fresh local fish and shellfish at the De Valence Pavilion in Tenby on Wednesday, June 27. Chris, who runs two acclaimed restaurants in Plymouth with his brother James, spent five years working for the Roux brothers in restaurants in New York, France and London. He and James are rising TV chefs, having featured in several television programmes, including the 15- part series The Tanner Brothers. "The Masterclass is one of Fish Week's highlights, and I'm delighted to welcome Chris to Fish Week this year," said Kate Morgan, organiser of Fish Week and food officer at Pembrokeshire County Council. "With the expertise Chris has gained from his international background and his modern approach to cooking, we should be in for a truly inspiring evening." The masterclass will also include advice on wines to accompany the dishes from Roy Roberts, of Celtic Wines. Tickets are £10, including a glass of wine, courtesy of Celtic Wines. They are available from the De Valence Box Office on (01834) 843568 (open between 9 am and 1 pm from Monday to Friday). Doors open at 7 pm and the masterclass starts at 7.30 pm. Pembrokeshire Fish Week from June 23 to July 1 celebrates the county's fishing tradition, beautiful coastline and clean seas. The week-long festival includes more than 100 family events county-wide, including fun days in Milford Haven, Tenby and Fishguard, cookery demonstrations, many special fresh fish and shellfish events, angling and outdoor events.
