As a way of promoting gardening, the Welsh College of Horticulture are offering students enrolling with them for the first time, the opportunity to do a gardening course for free. The course Start Gardening is being run at various centres: Pembroke Dock Coronation Centre (Thursdays 6.30-9 pm); Bloomfield Centre, Narberth (Tuesdays 6.30-9 pm); Pembrokeshire College, Haverfordwest (Tuesdays 6.30-9 pm); Dyffryn Taf School, Whitland (Mondays 6.30-9 pm). It is a good all round course for all those who want to know how to tackle the garden with confidence. These courses are followed by a Garden Design course. The college is promoting gardening as a healthy way of living, and realises that many people often lack confidence and therefore do not tend to keep some tasks in the garden at arms length.
