A delighted Jane Heathcote telephoned our offices on Monday to report summer was on its way, for she had seen a swallow!

Jane said she had seen a solitary one over Hunters Park, New Hedges, on Sunday, followed by another three on Monday, which was around 15 days later than the first sighting last year.
