Tenby was a sea of red on Sunday morning as a total of 62 Santas took part in the first Tenby Santa Fun Run.

The course was 3k (2.1 miles) starting outside the West Gate of St. Mary's Church.

The course route included Castle Hill, Tor Lane, The Paragon, The Esplanade, across the Jubilee Gardens, down Shanley's Hill, up Golf Hill and then Queen's Parade, across Silent Battery Road, back through the Jubilee and along The Esplanade, Tor Lane, and the High Street into St. Mary's Church grounds.

All runners received medals, water and cawl. Tea and coffee was also provided, along with mulled wine and mince pies.

First to cross the finishing line was Graham Morgan from Tenby, who received a bottle of champagne kindly donated by the Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Julie Evans, who also started the run.

The event organiser was Katherine Morgan, of Tenby Ladies Circle, who said: "We have had so many positive comments that we intend to hold the event again in December 2011."

Tenby Ladies Circle will donate the proceeds raised at the event to two charities, these being Help for Heroes and the Gareth Scotcher Trust.

With authentic snow on the ground, and Christmas carols kindly played by Mr. Laurie Dale, this made for a truly festive event.
