Sir,
There has been such a lot of bad press written about hospitals in the country concerning the way some of the patients have been badly treated, so I felt I needed to write this letter telling everybody how good my local hospital is.
Recently I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and admitted to Withybush Hospital where my surgeon Mr. Umeghele and his team operated on me. I was quite poorly for a few days after the operation, but my surgeon plus team came to see me many times throughout the days, right up to my day of discharge.
I was given first class treatment from everybody, and that includes all the nursing staff, auxillaries, domestics and even the receptionist; they all helped in my very speedy recovery.
Each and every one of these wonderful people did all they could to help me get better, whilst also looking after an entire ward of patients, who all received the same wonderful care that I had.
Not all hospitals are like those that have been in the media.
I feel so lucky that I live in this part of the world.
Anne Price,
Lydstep Haven.
