Staff at Woodland Lodge, Gumfreston, have been presented with certificates and first aid badges after completing a four-day first aid at work course. Alun Williams, commercial trainer with PRP Training, presented staff with their certificates and badges which will be worn on each shift to make the qualified first aider easily identifiable to both visitors and emergency services. Seen with Mr. Williams are manager Sian Harris, deputy manager Nina Whiting, senior carers Nicky Stock and Linda Williams, and carers Serena May and Louise Rees. Staff unable to attend were Serena Wemyss, Sarah Thompson, Rory Cuneen and Rona Boswell. All staff will be trained on a one-day basis first aid course as well. Staff are over and above the recommended guidelines for first aiders in the home.
