The evening, generously sponsored by the Valero refinery, Pembroke, was blessed with ideal weather conditions, with clear skies and no wind, and the appreciative audience warmly applauded on completion of the display.
The Rotary Club are extremely grateful to the public for the tremendous support shown, and also everyone else who contributed to the success of the evening, and a letter of thanks from the club president, Rotarian Alan Jones, is included on the letters page.
During the evening, the crowd enjoyed burgers and hot dogs served by Rotarians, hot bacon rolls supplied by Tenby Ladies Circle, a licensed bar, hot and cold drinks, along with a children's ride, musical entertainment and a tombola run by the Tenby Red Cross Shop, while glow sticks were sold by students from Pembrokeshire College, raising funds for an environmental expedition to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.
The Rotary Club is keen to develop the evening still further in the future, and would welcome more participation from other community groups or charities, who are asked to contact the club if they wish to be involved. This can be done by using the 'contact us' section of the club's website, http://www.tenby.rotary1150.org">www.tenby.rotary1150.org , or by writing to the club c/o The Royal Lion Hotel, Tenby.
