Peter Barker, station manager for the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, is seen receiving a cheque for £5,000 from Tenby fire station watch manager, Martin Hurlow.
The money was raised as a result of the Tenby station's successful carnival in August and will be donated to the Fire Station Benevolent Fund.
The cheque was presented during their annual Christmas dinner, which this year was held at Paxtons, Tenby House.
Special guests included former Tenby station officer, Clive Webb and his wife Ruth; Peter and Christine Barker, Pembroke; Paul and Cherrie Morris, Narberth; Chris and Beverley Godding, of Tredeml Print, Narberth; James Warren, Amanda Owen, Steve and Allen Warren, of Penally Abbey and the Normandie Inn, Tenby; and the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane and her consort, Mrs. Tish Rossiter.
Lesley Fisher, of Tenby House, was thanked for a donation of £1,000 to help run the carnival. Thanks were also extended to Park House Court, Penally Abbey Hotel and the Normandie Inn for donations, local businesses for raffle prizes and to Chris Godding, of Tredeml Print, for posters and raffle books.
The Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, thanked the firemen for all their hard work and bravery throughout the year, in particular with the Easter inferno at the Gate House Hotel and more recently above Woolworths.
