The World Police and Firefighter Games are taking place in Belfast between August 1-10.
It will be the first time the UK has ever hosted the event, which is held biennially.
The event is the third largest multi-sport competition in the world, after the Olympics and the World Masters.
It is almost three times the size of the Commonwealth Games in terms of competitor numbers, attracting around 10,000 competitors, competing in approximately 65 sports.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is proud to have a number of competitors taking part in this year's games, including firefighter Lottie Chant from Pembroke Dock Fire Station.
Lottie will be travelling to Belfast to compete in the Half Marathon on August 4.
There are also a number of service personnel who form part of The Wales Rugby 7s Team. They will be travelling to Belfast for the rugby 7s tournament which starts on August 7 for three days.
The players representing the service are as follows: firefighters Sam Phillips, Carwyn Thomas and Matthew Evans from Aberystwyth Fire Station, firefighter Tomos Jones from Crymych Fire Station and firefighters Daniel Davies and Andrew Rennie from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
