Tenby Fire Station has been commended by the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service's Principal Officer Team as part of a series of station inspections.

The inspection report praises Tenby Station personnel for demonstrating attainment and maintenance of the highest standards of management, operational and safety performance.

Ken Wall, of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service's Operational Risk Management Department, commented on the evident pride of the personnel at Tenby Fire Station.

He said: "The station personnel are evidently very proud of the work they do and their role within the community. This was clearly reflected in their excellent demonstration of firefighting techniques, their assured responses to technical questions and their overall positive attitude to providing the best possible level of protection to their local community."

Head of Pembrokeshire Command, group manager Steve Bryant, added: "The people of Tenby can feel justifiably proud of their firefighters. The inspection has shown that they continue to demonstrate the highest of standards as professional firefighters and the station and appliances are maintained to extremely good condition."

Station manager Dickie Lewis added: "I am delighted that the hard work and efforts that the Tenby crew continually demonstrate have been rewarded by this very positive feedback. We strive to ensure that the wider Tenby community receive the very best service possible from us at all times
