Two local schoolchildren have come up trumps after winning a competition run by Community Fire Safety (CFS) officers in Pembrokeshire.

Dylan Johns, a year three pupil at Tenby Junior School, and Dyffryn Taf School year nine student, Rachel Thomas, both answered fire department health and safety questions at the Royal Welsh Show held earlier this summer and were chosen as winners by the CFS.

Both pupils were presented this week with their prizes, DS Nintendo consoles with 'brain trainer' packages, by CFS schools officer, Lee Simmons, and CFS community risk reduction officer, Chris McDonald.
