Narberth stuntman, Al Smith is almost certain that his recent red hot fire-breathing attempt has seen him scorch into the record books.
Thirty-year-old Al, nicknamed 'The Dragon' was "absolutely delighted" at breathing 55 fireballs in three minutes 15 seconds during the spectacular firework display organised by Chris Allen, of Westcoast Fireworks and Narberth and Whitland Round Table at the Lewis Lloyd ground during the town's Civic Week festivities.
Video evidence of Al's attempt has been sent to the Guinness Book of Records for the claim to be verified and he is now holding his breath anxiously awaiting clarification.
He has been told that, if it checks out, he will hold the record.
In the meantime, Al will be giving another fire-breathing display at a large firework display being presented by the Westcoast Firework Company at Carew Market from 7 pm on Sunday, August 27.
