Anyone over 14 years of age who is interested in well paid local and worldwide employment opportunities in the energy sector - including working for small engineering firms or multinational companies based in Pembrokeshire -is invited to attend the Energy Sector Information and Recruitment Event at the Technium, Pembroke Dock on Tuesday, March 24.

Local SMEs to multinational companies will be there to give advice and answer your questions about current job prospects and typical course routes, including: Murco, Chevron, RWEnPower, Doosan Babcock, Aker Solutions and Milford Haven Port Authority.

Also available are careers advisors from Careers Wales West and training and course advisors from Pembrokeshire College, Cogent, ECITB and Energy and Utility Skills (Cymru).

Information will be available about modern and pre-apprenticeship schemes, national diplomas and degree routes.

Careers Wales West team manager, Jean Brown, said: "This successful event gives local people the opportunity to find out about well paid local jobs in the energy sector and supporting engineering industries.

"Although people of all ages are invited to attend, this event is particularly relevant for young people who need a clear insight about career choices and appropriate course routes.

"Feedback from last year's event was extremely positive: people who attended said that they could find the information they were looking for under one roof; while companies had the opportunity to stimulate demand for local employment.

"This year, there is a lot of excitement about the recruitment of people to build and work at the new power station in Pembroke - representatives from RWEnPower will be there to give advice and information."

The Technium is located in Llanion Park, near the Cleddau Bridge, on the Pembroke Dock side.
