A competition for children aged 12 and under will be taking place in libraries in Pembrokeshire and the rest of Wales this month - with some fantastic Roald Dahl prizes up for grabs!
Inspired by one of Roald Dahl’s most well-loved books, James and the Giant Peach, the competition challenges children to discover where members of staff have hidden a giant peach in their local library.
The competition aims to encourage children to explore their library and will take place until September 30.
It coincides with the Roald Dahl centenary celebrations and the end of the Summer Reading Challenge - The Big Friendly Read.
In Pembrokeshire, libraries in Fishguard, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Pembroke Dock and Tenby will be taking part.
Some fantastic prizes are up for grabs including Roald Dahl stationery packs, jigsaws, key rings and Roald Dahl-themed games.
Ken Skates, Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure, said: “This is a creative idea offering young people across Wales the chance to embrace and celebrate Roald Dahl’s centenary year, while also making the most of their local library facilities.
“2016 marks the Year of Adventure in Wales and Roald Dahl’s books are certainly full of exciting journeys.
“This competition is a great opportunity for children and parents alike to explore their local library and discover some new adventures along the way.”
