A well-known resident of Saundersfoot, Worshipful Brother Donald Johns of the Narberth Masonic Lodge, has been presented with a jewel and framed certificate to commemorate his achievement of being a member of the Narberth Lodge for over 50 years.
The presentation was made by Right Worshipful Brother Eric Mock, the Provincial Grand Master of the West Wales Province, at a regular meeting of the Narberth Lodge.
In making the presentation, Mr. Mock said that, although he had presented a number of such awards, it was extremely rare to make the presentation to someone who was such an active freemason as Worshipful Brother Donald who still attended and made a full contribution to the life of the Lodge on a regular basis.
Worshipful Brother Donald was initiated into the Narberth Lodge in December 1959 by Worshipful Brother Hugh H. Morgan, the Immediate Past Master of the Lodge and installed as Worshipful Master himself in January 1973.
He has held many other posts of responsibility at the Lodge, as he has done in the various other Masonic degrees that he has joined and was Charity Steward of the Narberth Lodge for 25 years.
