Following a tragedy on the White Back sandbank on Tenby’s South Beach, Tenby Town Council considered whether it would be possible to prevent bathers entering the sea during periods of threatened danger, the town clerk, Mr. Wynne Samuel said. He was giving evidence at the inquest on the 17-year-old who was drowned.
In an effort to combat vandalism during the hours of darkness, Tenby Borough Council were to consider all-night street lighting in certain parts of the town during the holiday season.
