Remedial and restoration works at French Mill, Carew, would cost something like £9,000, members of Pembrokeshire National Park committee were told.

The axe which had been poised over the Whitland to Pembroke Dock railway line for the previous three years fell when British Rail published their intention of withdrawing the passenger service from the line.
