Vandalism at Tenby United’s ground at Heywood Lane was putting the future of rugby in Tenby in great jeopardy, the committee of Tenby United RFC claimed in a letter to the borough council. They stated that the grandstand had almost been torn to pieces and that practically every pane of glass in every building on the ground had been broken.

Large entries and a beautiful day made for a very successful 13th annual Tenby Horse Show at The Lodge Farm.

The south of the county again took the honours in Pembrokeshire’s best-kept village competition. The award went to Manorbier, with two former winners, Penally and St. Florence, both being warmly commended by the judge.
