July 1, 1966: By one vote, Tenby Town Council’s general purposes committee turned down an application for the Warren Street amusement arcade to open on Sundays during the season.

Another expression of the friendly attitude existing between the denominations was seen when two monks from the Cistercian Abbey on Caldey attended an ordination service of four priests and two deacons at St. David’s Cathedral. One of the four priests ordained was the Rev. Simon Lowe, curate of St. Mary’s Parish Church, Tenby.

For the third time, Pembrokeshire Education Committee rejected a proposal to establish a Roman Catholic Secondary School at Haverfordwest - a school which would have drawn pupils from various parts of the country.
