Festive and New Year celebration plans for Saundersfoot are already underway.

Members of Saundersfoot Community Council discussed at their most recent meeting a proposal to purchase a bespoke designed Christmas Lighting display from MK Illuminations, to be erected across the street in the seaside village at an agreed location.

The streetscape display will depict the silhouette of Monkstone point and the words - ‘Welcome to Saundersfoot’ with councillors told that the cost would be in the region of £4,800.

Discussions also took place regarding the firework display for New Year’s Eve, with the Community Council budgeting £2,200 for the payment for the display, with the invoice totalling £3,120 to the company ‘Galaxy Firework’.

Members of the Chamber for Tourism are to be invited to a meeting with the Council’s Festivities Working Group to discuss the matter further.
