PLANED is offering the chance of free publicity to organisers of community events and festivals in Pembrokeshire.
Eligible events can benefit from inclusion in a Festivals and Events in Pembrokeshire 2004 Guide funded through PLANED's LEADER+ project.
This interesting and handy-sized full-colour booklet will be sent to people interested in holidaying in Pembrokeshire, will be available in outlets along the M4 corridor, and distributed to more than 170 tourist information points and tourist information centres in Pembrokeshire. The information will also be included in a new events and festivals website.
Community organisers wanting to take advantage of this offer will need to send details of their events to PLANED by the beginning of January. Contact Helen Thomas on 01834 862111 for an application form.
PLANED is encouraging the development of community festivals and events in Pembrokeshire to make sure that local communities and businesses get the maximum possible benefit from such occasions. The Festivals and Events in Pembrokeshire guide has been produced for the past two years with overwhelming appreciation expressed by event organisers, accommodation providers and local people.
One person telephoned from as far away as Australia to check on details of a performance by Tenby Male Voice Choir at Tenby Harbour after finding the event listed on PLANED's tourism bureau website - and attended the performance!
