Saundersfoot based band My Significant Other have every reason to be celebrating after their recent success at the Pembroke Festival 'Battle of the Bands' competition.
Despite being the youngest band playing at Paddles Night Club in Pembroke, the boys walked away with first prize, fending off some serious competition from the other finalists, Winch House, Silage, Order 66 and The Devil's Answer.
Band members are Liam Watkins (rhythmn guitar and lead vocals), Jordan Watkins (drums), Paul Hodge (bass) and Joe Lewis (lead guitar and backing vocals).
First prize consisted of a half-hour set at the festival on the Sunday afternoon, a live session on Radio Pembrokeshire's BB Skone show, plus a day's recording at Winderton Studios in New Hedges, where the boys are hoping to record their first album this winter.
The band would like to thank the organisers of the competition for a great night, the judges for their praise, compliments and encouragement and also the legendary Bruce Campbell, as always a huge supporter of the band, for his sterling work on sound.
MSO can next be seen at the De Valence Young Bands Night as part of the Tenby Arts Festival on Saturday, September 22.
