EXPECT a whole host of comedic talent this October. Span Arts’ Comedy Club presents a So You Think You’re Funny? finalist, a rising comedy star and a regular from The Comedy Store all in one night on Thursday, October 13, at the Queens Hall, Narberth.

Headliner for the evening is Seymour Mace. Best known for playing Steve on the BBC Three comedy Ideal, Mace is a former clown who became a finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny? competition at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2001, soon after becoming a stand-up. He was also nominated for the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2015.

Mace took part in the ‘Laughing for a Change’ project in 2014, which aimed to raise awareness of mental health through a comedy tour, also featuring Mrs Barbara Nice and Rob Deering. The project was supported by Time to Change.

Mace will be joined by Tom Toal, a comedian, writer and actor, hailing from the South East London town of Bexleyheath. One of comedy’s rising stars, Toal performed his debut show On The Scrapheap about the break-up of his six-year relationship at the Edinburgh and Leicester Festivals in 2010, achieving widespread acclaim and reviews.

MC for the evening is full-time comedian, Dave Williams. Williams has been a full-time comedian since 1998, and is booked both as stand-up and compere by a range of venues/promoters, including The Comedy Store.

Dave has performed in several countries. In Australia he has headlined the Sydney Comedy Store and appeared at clubs in Melbourne and Brisbane. He has also played in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha.

Bring your mates or your dates along for a night full of comical talent, fun, food and that feelgood factor. Tickets are available from the Span Arts website at spanarts.org.uk or from the Box Office on 01834 869323.
