A very short letter to allay the unwarranted fears of Mr. I. Williams, of Cold Blow, Narberth. Since the Assembly Election campaign began just over a week ago, the Labour Party candidate, Christine Gwyther, has knocked on many hundreds of doors - 400 in Tenby last Saturday alone! The members and supporters who accompany her, telling people that she is available to talk to and question, do not need to keep the candidate safe. Indeed, the welcome she receives is so warm, that it encourages us all. As for stage management and censored questions, if Mr. Williams had ever attended a Labour Party meeting he would know that this doesn't exist! It's a long trip from Angle to Carmarthen West, from Laugharne to Llanstefan to Manorbier, but believe me, Christine will be there.
