On Saturday, October 18, Saundersfoot CP School held a magnificent fashion show and auction in the Regency Hall in Saundersfoot.
This event was compered by governors of the school Andrea Thomas and Clr. Phil Baker who came into the hall with a flourish to the Strictly Come Dancing theme music.
The final total raised on the night was £5,076, but there is still more money coming in each day to the school.
There was Bucks Fizz on arrival and a goodie bag for everyone especially designed by the school enterprise club. There was a fantastic raffle and name the bear competition and a delicious buffet. There was also an art display with a fashion theme and the prize for this was an amazing sweet-filled enormous cake.
The school was excited to have the opportunity to showcase some local fashions put together by some of Pembrokeshire's finest clothing stores such as Jago (Tenby and Narberth), Celebrations (Milford Haven) and Christkindl, of Saundersfoot, but also to let everyone see some of the things Saundersfoot School have been doing to raise money and to enhance their school environment.
Make-up and beauty was by Rachel Ruff, of Ocean Studio, while hair was by Andrew Price, Tenby salon.
There was also a fantastic eco fashion show or 'Trashion' show put on by the schools eco fashion club.
In addition, there was also a section highlighting the money raised through Ironman and FOSS10k teams and this section was compered by Simon Batty, included a film of all of the events and all of the team took to the catwalk to model their new sky blue running vests.
Models and helpers, included staff, former and present pupils, friends and parents. Greenhill School pupils supported as models, VIP helpers and with photography. Thanks to everyone for giving up their time to support the school.
There were generous donations from local businesses and individuals and the school wish to thank them all.
