Pictured following their wedding recently at Saron Baptist Chapel, Letterston, are Mr. Ian Gerald James and Miss Susan Josephine Thomas. The groom, a farmer and agricultural contractor, is the eldest son of Gerald and Jane James, of Stangs Farm, Martletwy, while the bride, a farmer and part-time assistant in the FUW, is the youngest daughter of Vincent and Lorna Thomas, of Priskilly Fach, Wolfscastle. Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin gown with box pleated skirt and embroidered bodice, which was complemented with a matching stole. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses and lilac freesia. Bridesmaids were Bethan Morris (bride's sister) and Rebecca Evans and Sharon Owen (couple's friends), who wore two-piece aubergine duchess satin gowns with embroidered bodices and straight skirts. Page boy was Owen Morris, bride's nephew. Best man was Simon Watkins (groom's friend) and the ushers were Gerald Thomas and Paul Evans (bride's cousins), Richard James (groom's brother) and Gareth James (groom's cousin). The service was conducted by Rev. Gwyn Rogers. The couple will be making their home in Martletwy.
