St. Mary's Church, Carew, was the setting for the recent wedding of Mr. Richard John Mason and Miss Caroline Sheila Lewis. The groom, a farmer, is the only son of Keith and Liana Mason, Hill Farm, Pembroke, while the bride, a training advisor with Pembrokeshire County Council, is the only daughter of Philip and Sheila Lewis, Poyerston Farm, Cosheston. Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory chiffon gown, with fitted bodice and an a-line skirt, and a chapel train. The bodice was trimmed with seeded pearls and beaded sequins and had a laced up back. The beading was also reflected on the train. She carried a teardrop shower bouquet of amorosa roses, orchids, freesia, rosy wonder lilies and stephanotis. Bridesmaids were Sam Mason (groom's sister) and Jolene Wheeler (bride's friend). Flower girl was Rebecca Evans (bride's cousin). The best man was a friend of the groom, Richard Morris, and the ushers were Roger Lewis (bride's brother), Mark Bateman, Matthew Palmer and Jeremy Garlick (groom's friends). The wedding ceremony was conducted by Rev. Robert Gordon and the organist was Mrs. Christine Lloyd. The reception was held at Beggars Reach Hotel. The couple, who spent their honeymoon in Canada, will make their home at the 'Gardners Rest' Hill Farm, Pembroke.
