A family cut off by the tide on Tuesday evening were rescued by Tenbys inshore lifeboat.
The ILB was launched shortly before 6.30 pm after a report that several persons were seen up to their necks in water near Monkstone.
The ILB raced to the scene and located the casualties getting out of the water onto a secluded beach.
The crew went ashore and immediately saw that one of the casualties was a two-year-old baby that was shivering having been in the water.
The baby was assessed by the crew and wrapped in a blanket and an ambulance was called.
The casualties, a mother, her daughter and her partner, and their dog, were then taken aboard the ILB and dropped off to the awaiting paramedics and coastguard crew at Saundersfoot.
