A holidaymaker contacted the emergency rescue services on Saturday night after he became concerned about the safety of two teenage boys and a dog who he believed were cut off by the tide at Telpyn Point.
The coastguard rescue team was tasked to investigate the report received shortly before 11 pm.
After a full search of the area, however, there was no trace of anyone in difficulties and the call was treated as a false alarm with good intent.
