AN evening of home-grown talent is in store at the Queen's Hall, Narberth, tonight (Friday), kicking off with Wild Welsh Women, a band producing a heady mixture of closely-meshed harmonies linked with a stirring acoustic accompaniment. Their material is drawn from traditional Welsh music with contemporary influences.
WWW are increased to a line-up of six by Narberth's own local talent Sian Phillips (on fiddle). An accomplished and experienced solo musician, Sian joins mother and daughter vocalists Rozi and Tamsin, who are accompanied by Rob Morris on accordion, Matt Powell (guitar) and Jon Attree (bass).
The band have made several appearances on the Owen Money show.
Wild Welsh Women appear supporting Queen's Hall favourites, Bluehorses, playing trad British music, innovating on the styles of Led Zepplin, Blowzabella and Curved Air.
Altogether an explosive evening of Welsh roots music. Doors open at 8 pm. Tickets £8.
