A vision for the future of Pendine is to be unveiled to the community.
A special open day is being planned to showcase exciting plans for the area and interact with residents.
The event is part of a major regeneration project which is being developed in the area.
Ambitious plans are afoot to enhance the seafront and make it a must see destination for visitors.
Carmarthenshire County Council is driving forward the proposals in a bid to put the town on the map and increase visitor numbers.
A special task group has been set up to look at ways of developing the seaside community.
Improvement works include an attractive new gateway feature into the village, new footpath and cycle links between Pendine and Llanmiloe and environmental enhancements and improved access to the car park in the centre of Pendine.
Traffic calming measures, new signs and landscaping programmes are also being planned.
The proposals will go on show at a public consultation event at the Museum of Speed on Wednesday, January 28, between 10 am and 7 pm.
The open day has been organised by the council and its partners, the Welsh Assembly Government and Pendine and Llanddowror Community Councils
Officers are hoping for a good response from residents, organisations and businesses alike.
The design work has been funded by the Welsh Assembly Government's Environment Programme and also Parkdean Holidays and has allowed the council and its partners to develop innovative plans for the area.
The council's regeneration executive board member Clr. Clive Scourfield said: "Extensive work has been carried out which will culminate in this public consultation day.
"We want to work with the community so it vital that they engage with us to make this a success.
"Pendine has the potential to be a first class leisure destination and our aim is to work together to realise that aim."
