The Pembrokeshire Sports Department team is offering an exciting summer feast of sport for children during the school holidays with their Summer Roadshow.
The team will be travelling to all parts of the county delivering quality sporting activities which will include football, tennis, hockey, rugby, cricket, athletics and various other sports subject to demand.
The roadshow will be open to all children aged between seven and 13 and will operate from 10 am to 3 pm daily. The emphasis will be on fun and therefore prior knowledge or ability in any of the sports on offer is not necessary. The coaches are all qualified and very experienced in dealing with children.
The dates are as follows: Tenby Leisure Centre - Thursday, Friday, July 26 and 27.
Haverfordwest Taskers Milward School - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, July 30, 31, August 1 and 2.
Milford Thornton Hall - August 1 and 2.
Pembroke Bush Leisure Centre - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 6, 7, 8 and 9.
Hakin Football Club - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 13, 14, 15 and 16.
Neyland Athletic Club - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 13, 14, 15, 16.
Fishguard Sports Centre - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 20, 21, 22, 23.
Haverfordwest Sports Centre - Wednesday and Thursday, August 22 and 23.
Ysgol Dewi Sant, St. Davids - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 28, 29 and 30.
The cost of these activities has been kept low to enable as many children as possible to take part in sport. Discretionary free places are available to families on reduced income, so parents are invited to contact either Gerry Rigby or Clair Davies in confidence.
Booking forms have already been distributed to all primary schools in Pembrokeshire, but if for any reason any parent has not received a form then they are invited to telephone either Gerry Rigby or Clair Davies at County Hall during office hours on (01437) 776379 or (01437) 776240.
