On Sunday, May 16, Colby is open in support of The National Gardens Scheme (NGS), as seen in the 'yellow book'. All admission fees and donations will go to the NGS as this organisation is a key partner with the National Trust.
At 2.30 pm there will be an afternoon workshop with Andrew Midgley, head gardener, on 'Propagating Rhododendrons and Camellias'.
This will be followed by a Dawn Chorus Walk hosted by the National Trust's head warden in Pembrokeshire, Richard Ellis. Starting at 5 am in the car park and finishing at 7 am with a hearty bacon roll and coffee, Richard will point out the songs of the birds to be found at Colby. This event takes place on Saturday, May 22.
Information about these and other events can be found by calling (01834) 811885.
