This year's Llen-dysilio Festival will be focusing on the strong tradition of Pacifism in the north of Pembrokeshire on the theme of 'A Wês Heddwch?' (Is there Peace?). The culture and heritage festival boasts four separate events over three days. Organised by the Llen-dysilio Community Interest Group, the festival starts on Friday, October 31, and lasts until Sunday, November 2. The Llen-dysilio Festival events include:

Friday: A talk on the efforts to keep the Preseli hills free from military use. The talk, which will be in Welsh, will be entitled Bugeilio'r Bryniau (Safeguarding the Hills). Cerwyn Davies will be the guest speaker and the venue will be the Llandysilio village hall (7.30 pm).

Saturday:Festival Quiz will be held in Llandysilio village hall starting at 7.30 pm. Quiz rounds will cover the Great War and those who fell from Llandysilio, local history and well-known bards from the area. The guest of honour on the evening will be Clive Morgan. Entry fee £10 for teams of four.

Sunday: A Peace Breakfast will be held in Llandysilio village hall starting at 9.30 am. Later a Gala Concert will be held at Blaenconin Chapel featuring Jessica Robinson, international organist Meirion Wynn Jones and two choirs in contest. It will start at 7 pm and costs £6.

The locality is well-known for its poets such as Waldo Williams, who wrote eloquently about the need for peace in the world and Llwyd Williams, who championed the beauty of the Preseli hills and the people who live on them.

Festival chairman, Rev. Huw George, said: "In this year, when the Great War has been high in our thoughts, it is fitting to look at the importance of working for peace in the world. North Pembrokeshire people know, more than most, how vital it is to be pro-active in championing the need to live peacably together."

The festival is supported by the Big Lottery Fund which distributes National Lottery funds.
