Sir, I write, with the full support of my fellow town councilors, to congratulate Matthew Evans and Scott Powell, together with their crew and volunteers who, with the valued assistance of Pembrokeshire County Council, staged the excellent Long Course Weekend recently. The large amount of visitors and locals enjoyed a great weekend of sport and gave all the sportsmen and sportswomen an amazing show of support. When the event is televised in August it will show Pembrokeshire at its best. This is an event that grows in stature year on year and we in South Pembrokeshire need to embrace and support it again next year.
