A wide variety of objects from bicycles through to a kitchen sink were safely collected and disposed of during a recent waste amnesty at Heol Y Gaer in Clunderwen. In total, almost a tonne of waste was collected and placed into a free skip that had been provided for residents.

The skip was provided as part of the Pride in Our Communities project, a partnership between Keep Wales Tidy, Pembrokeshire County Council, and Environment Agency Wales, and is part-funded by the European Union's Objective-1 Programme. The aim of the project is to reduce the amount of fly- tipping in Pembrokeshire, through the engagement of members of the community. "The perceived problems with waste disposal in Pembrokeshire are varied, but through partnership events such as this, we hope to address the many issues," said Simon Preddy from Keep Wales Tidy.
