Everyone is welcome to Pembrokeshire College equine department's Open Day at Bowlings Riding Centre at Rudbaxton, near Haverfordwest, on Tuesday, May 11, from 10.30 am until 2.30 pm.
Tutors will be available to answer questions about the part-time (one day a week) or full-time courses starting in September, as well as show people around the centre. If you bring jodhpurs and suitable footwear, you can even enjoy a free ride. Refreshments will be available.
"The new courses for September 2004 will cater for horse owners who want to gain a better knowledge of how to look after their horses, or for people who want to work towards an equine teaching qualification," said lecturer Michael Butcher, "and include NVQ 1 in Horse Care, BHS Stage 1 and BHS Horse Owners Certificate."
