Pembrokeshire Conservative Councillors demand reversal of Withybush surgery decisionMs. Davidson had a huge impact as Environment Minister in the Welsh Government from 2007 to 2011, establishing ambitious policies on issues such as waste recycling, cutting climate changing emissions, developing more renewable energy, charging for plastic bags and creating the all-Wales coastal path. In 2008, she was placed third in a list of Britain's top environmentalists in the Independent on Sunday.
Ms. Davidson is now head of INSPIRE (Institute for Sustainable Practice, Innovation and Resource Effectiveness), at the University of Wales Trinity St. David in Carmarthen. The institute will look at the university's own practice, study how to develop South West Wales as a low carbon region, and work with organisations to see what sustainable development at the core of their business will look like.
Her presentation, on 'A Sustainable Future for West Wales', will be followed by a question and answer session.
