‘Environmental Advisers’ will run a drop-in event at Narberth’s Bloomfield Community Centre in the Sports Hall between 1 and 4 pm on Wednesday (October 23) about the new household recycling containers and which additional new items can be recycled from this autumn.

From November 4, Pembrokeshire County Council are rolling out important improvements to the way we manage our household waste in Pembrokeshire, in particular recycling.

“In order to engage and prepare residents for these improvements, we are giving talks and demonstrations across the county about the available new services, new household recycling containers and which additional new items can be recycled from this autumn,” said a spokesperson for PCC.

“If you would like to organise an event, or have our team of Local Environment Advisors to make an appearance and deliver this information at an event you are planning then please do get in touch, we are keen to work with as many groups and communities as possible to spread the word.

“We can include - Reusable Nappy Scheme; Absorbent Hygiene Product collections (AHP’s); Availability of assisted collections; Kerbside Sort – New method and new containers; Additional recyclable household items; Text alerts for collection days and other uses of My Account; Questions and Answers.

“During these sessions we can also discuss additional projects such as how to become an Eco Champion in the County.

“This could cover a range of topics including - Plastic Free Towns; Surfers Against Sewage; Refill Pembs; Community Fridges; Pembrokeshire Re-Makery and Two Minute Beach/Street Cleans,” they added.
