Over time, the north-west corner of the old cemetery at St Issell’s Church has become pretty overgrown with brambles and weeds. Saundersfoot Community Council would like to clear it up in an unusual way.
Aiming to make the area easier to access and bring back its peaceful, reflective atmosphere, they have met with a company called “Bio Goats” who suggested bringing in 20 goats to graze the cemetery for up to four weeks.
This unusual method of maintaining the cemetery has been trialled at Narberth recently.
To address any concerns, the council will hold a public presentation at the next Meet the Councillor event on July 5, 11am in the Regency Hall to explain everything in more detail and answer any questions.
