Tenby Arts Festival Committee are pleased to announce that they will be holding an open art competition as part of this year's festivities in September.
Entries are invited from anyone over 16 years of age living in the former county of Dyfed (Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion) and may be in any medium. Entries will be judged by a committee, including prominent artists, and selected work will be exhibited for sale in the gallery at Art Matters for three weeks from September 21.
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
1. Best entry overall receives £250.
2. Second prize - Town and Country easel (RRP approx. £75) donated by Emrys Art Supplies, of Carmarthen and Haverfordwest.
3. Best watercolour - £50 voucher donated by Clarice Art Materials, of Tenby.
4. Second prize - half imperial paper stretcher (RRP £39) donated by Ken Bromley Art Materials, of Bolton, Lancs.
5. Prize for best overall entry voted by exhibition visitors - wooden box of pastel pencils (RRP approx. £95) donated by Derwent, The Cumberland Pencil Company.
